Sieza – Success Stories: Water plant in Norway

The water plant Øyer is in a very isolated place and most of the time there are no workers. The customer did not feel that the security of the water power plant is good enough when there is only a fence around the facility. The requirement was a simple and trusted security solution that would detect if someone tried to enter the perimeter. The customer wanted a fence detection system that could be integrated into the existing control and monitoring system. Another mandatory requirement was to verify an alarm with an IP camera.

The water plant already had a monitoring system from Malthe Winje that detects other alarms such as water pressure, water quality, pump status. Peridect+ has been successfully integrated into the monitoring system. With Onvif S support, Hikvision camera is automatically directed to the intrusion area, in case of an alarm. This two-step verification makes the installation very reliable and secure.
